Congrats to Rep. Stacy Campfield and Sen. Dewayne Bunch for TN House Bill HB805
Tennesse House Bill HB805 recognizes the international sham of paternity fraud in Tennessee — it must and can be stopped similar to GA, AL, OH, MD, FL and other states.
Fortunately for paternity fraud victims under court orders that originate in GA, OH and MD do not require making payments after the order to vacate goes into effect. And there is no time limit on filing a motion to vacate as long as the child support order is active in those states.
Soon the US Citizens Against Paternity Fraud can refer to TN as another state that supports truth-in-paternity.
Wonder how the public feels about requiring the person who knows the whole truth about paternity candidates to be honest prior to getting any money, property or benefits? Mother knows the truth!
Surely we can count on mothers to be truthful just as the law requires fathers to make full disclosure of all income sources, right?
Honest people say “Yes, we can require both parents to be truthful” and take the profit out of paternity fraud.
